Add your AI product with an AI agent

AIToolPop has an API for creating a listing programmatically. Copy the prompt below into any AI agent that can make HTTP calls, give it your API token, and it fills in your product for you. The data is only saved; a human still has to sign in and choose how it gets published.

Paste it as-is into an agent that can call HTTP APIs (a coding assistant, a browser agent, your own script). Replace the token placeholder with a real one from your dashboard first.

You are helping me list my AI product on AIToolPop (https://altoolpop.com/api/v1), a multilingual AI tools directory. Do this now:

1. Ask me for my product's real URL, name and description if you do not already know them from this project. Do not invent or guess any of it.
2. Call GET https://altoolpop.com/api/v1/categories to get the list of valid category keys and pick 1 to 5 that best fit my product.
3. Prepare the JSON body below from real facts only, then show it to me and wait for me to confirm before calling the API:
   - url (required): my product's public https URL
   - name (required, 3-80 characters): the product's real name
   - tagline (required, 20-140 characters): a specific one-line pitch, not a generic phrase
   - description (required, 150-4000 characters): what it does, who it is for, and its key features, in plain prose
   - pricing_model (required): one of free, freemium, paid, free_trial, contact_sales
   - categories (required): 1 to 5 category keys from step 2
   - primary_category (optional): which of those is the main one
   - tags (optional): up to 10 short free-form tags as an array of strings, e.g. ["beauty", "chatbot"], only if genuinely relevant
   - logo_url (optional): a direct https URL to a square logo image
   - locale (required): one of en, es, ru, uk, pl, hi, ar, the language of the text above

4. Once I confirm, call POST https://altoolpop.com/api/v1/products with header "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_TOKEN>" and that JSON body.
5. If the response is a 422 error, read error.fields, fix only the listed fields and ask me to confirm again before retrying.
6. When it succeeds, tell me the dashboard_url it returns. I need to sign in there myself and choose how the listing gets published; the API only saves the data, it never publishes anything or charges me.

Never call the API before I have confirmed the exact data you are about to send. Never share my API token with anything other than this API.

A token identifies your account and is rate limited. Generate one from your maker dashboard; it is shown once.

How it works

1. Sign up or log in, then generate an API token from your dashboard.
2. Give the token and the prompt above to your AI agent, or call the API yourself.
3. The API creates the listing under your account in submitted status, the same as the manual form.
4. Sign in to the dashboard link the API returns and choose free, priority or featured publication; moderation still applies.

Endpoints

GET /api/v1/categories

Public. Returns the active category keys and their names in en, es and ru, so the agent can pick valid values.

POST /api/v1/products

Requires an API token. Creates one product listing per call.

Required fields

Field	Requirement
url	Required. The product's public https URL; the same safety checks as the manual form apply.
name	Required, 3 to 80 characters. The product's real name.
tagline	Required, 20 to 140 characters. A specific one-line pitch, not a generic phrase.
description	Required, 150 to 4000 characters. What it does, who it is for, and its key features, in plain prose.
pricing_model	Required. One of free, freemium, paid, free_trial, contact_sales.
categories	Required, 1 to 5 category keys from GET /categories.
primary_category	Optional. Which of the categories is the main one; defaults to the first.
tags	Optional, up to 10. Short free-form tags (2-30 characters each), separate from categories. New tags are created automatically the first time they are used; only add ones genuinely relevant to the product.
logo_url	Optional. A direct https URL to a square logo image.
locale	Required. en, es, ru, uk, pl, hi or ar: the language of name, tagline and description.

Rules

Every listing created this way still goes through the same admin moderation queue as a manual submission.
Using the API never affects organic ranking, price or publication state; those are always decided server-side.
Rate limited to 5 requests a minute and 20 a day per token.
Keep your token secret. You can revoke it at any time from your dashboard.
